Joan Baker- Voiceover Artist, Voice-Over coach/Teacher, Author “Secrets–Over Voice-Over Success” National Spokesperson for top brand microphone, Neumann, Vice President, Push Creative Advertising.
She’s got it goin’on in voice-over field, Voicing, The Muhammad Ali Center 2004 Olympic TV Campaign, narrating a documentary about the founding of the William Jefferson Clinton Library, now a part of the library’s permanent display and was tapped for a marketing campaign promoting The ABC Super Sign in Times Square.
Among numerous commercials and promos on which she has performed, she is especially proud of winning a 2011 Telly Award for her narration of the documentary “The Power of Saying Yes” and narrating the best selling Audio Book, Those Boys Have all the fun: The Inside World of ESPN. Joan recently voiced the premiere season promos for ABC’s “The View”, the Royal Wedding promos on HLN and TBS campaign for HBO’s Sex And The City series leading into the premiere of Sex And The City 2, the movie. Voices Remember” (a uniquely staged show of support, performers whose careers and livelihood depend on their vocal talent honor and remember those who lost their voices to Alzheimer’s disease) partnering with Broadway Care /Equity Fights Aids.

In addition to performing voice-over, Joan has for more than 15 years taught speech and voice-over technique at, The Actors Institute (NYC), Acting Management (NYC), The Professional Performing Arts School (NYC) Western Kentucky University (KY) New York University (NYC) and “Directing & Working with Voice-over Talent” for the Promax/BDA TV Conferences. A much sought after educator, she is responsible for training a respectable number of new voice talents entering the voice-over field each year, and provides private voice coaching for corporate executives and other non-entertainment professionals seeking to enhance their public speaking skills for stage and on-camera.
